MISTA LOVE JONES
Spoken Word. Real Love. Real Life.
Born in Los Angeles, CA, and raised in New Orleans, LA, Mista Love Jones discovered spoken word poetry after watching the film Love Jones. Since 2003, he has been writing and performing spoken word throughout New Orleans and surrounding areas, building a voice rooted in honesty, rhythm, sensuality, and soul.
His debut album, Emotions From The Soul, is a compelling body of work filled with heartfelt emotion, captivating music, and rich wordplay. His artistry lives at the intersection of life, love, and relationships—delivered in a deep, unmistakable voice that leaves a lasting impression on every listener.
Mista Love Jones creates from a place of passion, truth, and admiration for women—the inspiration behind much of his work. His poetry embraces beauty, desire, vulnerability, and connection, while never shying away from the complexities of relationships. The result is a brand and body of work that feels soulful, grown, intimate, and undeniably authentic.
